I think that the model lesson went very well.
My purpose was to show to my colleagues some ways to differentiate their teaching and make a lesson interesting and worthwhile to both their students and themselves.It's very important I believe, that every now and then,to do something different that our students will enjoy and see that learning is not only all about books and exercises.
As far as differentiation in process, product and learning environment is concerned, I believe it was successful and the objectives were met (see lesson plan).
The feedback from the students was excellent, they all enjoyed the lesson very much with the story and the pantomime coming first. They wished for a repetition of the lesson and some of them also wished that they could have more time.
Classroom management went well and the students followed instructions and collaborated satisfactorily.
We must notice that we can't do both activities in 45 min. In real classroom time the word activity takes about 25 min and a song is an activity that takes as much as the song lasts plus about 5 min and then it depends on how many times they will sing it. I usually keep it for the end.
All in all,I am satisfied with the process and the outcome of our meeting and I hope my colleagues are too.
